5. Ferro Chrome Low Carbon - Overview

• Ferroalloy containing 60-70% chromium with carbon restricted to 0.1%
max, sometimes as low as 0.03%.
• Enables precise chromium addition to welds without raising carbon
content unintentionally.
• Widely used in electrode coatings and flux-cored wire manufacturing for
welding.
• Two standard grades available (A & B) with tightly controlled Cr, C, S, P, and
Si levels.

tighter control.
• Preferred choice for manufacturers needing accurate chromium adjustment in
welding consumables.
