To begin with, a huge number of
fashion trends came to us from
Britain. All of them intertwined
into an unimaginable variety of
styles and, at first glance,
seemingly incompatible looks.
We are all fans of strict classics
and vintage styles, as well as
postmodernism and the so-called
street style. After this, even the
most ardent skeptics will have no
doubt that Britain is not only a
beautiful and majestic country,
but also the originator of trends.

ourse, skinny jeans,
eather biker jackets,
oversized shirts, and
oversized T-shirts. For girls,
British fashion is a real
playground, because only
n this country can you draw
nspiration for creating
intage, sophisticated, and
perhaps a bit prim, but
ertainly stylish looks.

et’s also not forget that for many
ears London was the main capital of
en’s fashion. It was the British
ourgeoisie that wore hats, riding
oats, tailcoats, and leather
ccessories. And high society, as we
now, sets the tone for fashion —
ence the expression “dressed like a
ondon dandy.” Thus, the everyday
othing of the British became a real
shion trend. It’s enough to recall the
meless classic style of Burberry: the
nchanging check pattern, which is
adly worn by all fans around the
obe.

But every fashion has its flip side. And in this
case, that side is vintage. This style literally burst
onto the catwalks at the beginning of the 20th
century, and since then it has held the honorable
position of timeless relevance. Vintage is, first and
foremost, a desire to revive past trends, for
example, those from the 60s: worn-out moccasins,
leather briefcases, high waistlines, and colorful
prints. All this beauty, of course, comes not from
shopping malls, but from flea markets such as
Camden and Portobello. I dream of visiting one of
them!
