PRESENTED BY SERGEY
Drones: Re-shaping Our
World
An exploration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles from historical origins to
autonomous futures.
SLIDE 01 / INTRODUCTION
3-MINUTE OVERVIEW

2.

ORIGINS & MILESTONES
History: Who, Where & When
1917: Archibald Low (UK)
Built the "Aerial Target" — the first radio-controlled pilotless aircraft.
1935: Queen Bee (UK)
Coined the term "drone" after reusable target aircraft.
2010s: Commercial Boom
Shifted from military use to consumer & enterprise multirotors.

3.

CORE MECHANICS
How Does a Drone Work?
Thrust & Motors
Flight Controller
GPS & Telemetry
Counter-rotating propellers control altitude & pitch.
Processes IMU sensor data 1,000 times per second.
Maintains precise position & returns home safely.

4.

TRANSFORMATION
Impact on Daily Life & Industry
Logistics: Rapid medical & retail deliveries.
Agriculture: Precision crop spraying & yield monitoring.
Rescue Ops: Thermal scanning for disaster search teams.
Media: High-quality cinematic aerial filming.

5.

HORIZON
The Future of Drones
Autonomous Swarms
Urban Air Mobility
AI Neural Navigation
Hundreds of interconnected drones collaborating
without pilot intervention.
Passenger eVTOL air taxis taking over city
commuting routes.
GPS-denied navigation through complex industrial
environments.

6.

PERSPECTIVE
My Opinion (Sergey's Take)
"Drones are not just cool gadgets — they represent a shift as fundamental as
the smartphone. While privacy and regulation remain challenges, their
potential to save lives in search operations and reduce industrial carbon
footprints makes them an essential tool for human progress."
