The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has beensteadily increasing for more than a century
because of the wide use of various types of fossil
fuels (coal and oil) as an energy source.

greenhouse gases also enter the atmosphere.

quantities, some of these gases are much more
dangerous in terms of global warming than
carbon dioxide.
