Today Rostov Velikiy- is
the only center for the
production of enamel
painting. ... At the end
of the 19th century art
of the Rostov enamel
gradually transformed
into a craft. Products
Rostov masters filled
the whole of Russia.

Technology of production of
enamel is not easy and needs
a lot of experience. To
manufacture requires copper
plate, cut to size and shape of
the future product. The metal
is purified and put on a
special emal- glassy powder.
The plate is then placed in a
furnace and calcined. Enamel
tightly fused with a plate and
cover it with a thin layer. This
operation is repeated several
times to enamel covering
plate durable and uniform
layer.
