5. Norwegian People and Nature

Most Norwegians live in single-family homes and large apartments, their love for
electric or electronic goods and equipment is well known and a kind of
obsession. Norwegian People like to be attached to nature and to lead a simple
life. Thousands of Norwegians spend weekends and holidays at the family cabin,
which are located as far from others as possible.
Hiking and going for walks are a way of getting out of the house, as Norwegians
put it; you leave civilization and all its comforts behind to get in touch with your
inner self and feel like an authentic person. The success of a walk is measured by
the number of people you meet along the way. The fewer the people, the more
successful the walk was.

7. Finally a few interesting but strange  facts about Norway and Norwegians.

Norwegians love frozen pizza.
The Grandiosa frozen pizza is unofficially named
as the Norwegian national dish
Fellesferien
Literally meaning the communal holiday.
It is the time of the year, second week of
July, when most Norwegians take their
four week summer holiday. This is a
logical choice as the weather normally
should be at its best during this time of
the year. Everything slows down in this
period, even the reporting in the media.
