2. Sweden
Sweden, officially the Kingdom of Sweden, is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe.It borders Norway to the west and Finland to the east, and is connected to Denmark in the
southwest by a bridge-tunnel across the Öresund. Approximately 85% of the population lives in
urban areas. Southern Sweden is predominantly agricultural, while the north is heavily forested.

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the most populous city in Nordic region with 923,516 people livingin the municipality, approximately 1.4 million in the urban area, and 2.2 million in the metropolitan area.
The city is an archipelago of 14 islands and modify completely during the winter and the summer.

• Russia, Saxony–Poland, and Denmark–Norway pooled their power in 1700 and attackedthe Swedish empire. Although the young Swedish King Charles XII won spectacular victories in the
early years of the Great Northern War, most notably in the stunning success against the Russians at
the Battle of Narva in 1700, his plan to attack Moscow and force Russia into peace proved too
ambitious.

• The official language of Sweden is Swedish and it is spoken by the majority of individuals living in Sweden.• One of the main features of Swedish culture is that the Swedes are egalitarian in nature, humility and arrogance is absolutely
unacceptable.
• Failing to say thank you for something is perceived negatively in Sweden.
• The family in Sweden is extremely important and as such, the rights of children are well protected.

Swedish men between the ages of 18 and 47 are required to serve from 7 to 15 months in the country ´s armed forces.
The nation´s regular army, navy, and air forces have a total of about 55,000 members.
