Nepal is located in theHimalayas and bordered to

Republic of India. Nepal has a
rich geography. The
mountainous north has eight
of the world's ten tallest
mountains, including the
highest point on Earth, Mount
Everest.

Kathmandu is the nation'scapital and the country's
largest metropolis. The city
stands in the bowl-shaped
valley in central Nepal
surrounded by four major
hills. Nepali is the most
common language of the city.
Most of Kathmandu's people
follow both Hinduism and
follow Buddhism.
5. MONKEY TEMPLE
Monkey Temple is an ancientreligious complex atop a hill in
the Kathmandu Valley, west of
Kathmandu city. The complex
consists of a stupa, a variety of
shrines and temples, a Tibetan
monastery, museum and library.
Many monkeys can be found
surrounding this stupa. There are
lots of steps (claimed to have 365
steps), leading directly to the
main platform of the temple,
which is from the top of the hill
to the east.
6. BHAKTAPUR
Bhaktapur is an ancient townin the east corner of the
Kathmandu Valley. It is the
third largest city in Kathmandu
valley and was once the
capital of Nepal until the
second half of the 15th
century. Bhaktapur is listed as
a World Heritage by UNESCO
for its rich culture, temples,
and wood, metal and stone
artwork.
7. BISKET JATRA
Bisket Jatra is one of the mostcolorful and boisterous
celebration in Bhaktapur. Every
year, the whole city of Bhaktapur
empties itself into the streets for
over a week to celebrate the
festival, which starts four days
before the Nepalese New Year
and continues for four days after
it. The festival includes a wild
parade, a candlelit procession
and two tug-of-wars.
