The Yorkshire Dales is an upland area of the
Pennines in Northern
England. Most of it in the
Yorkshire Dales National
Park created in 1954. There
are many ancient castles,
not big cottages and small
countries.

The Yorkshire Dales, which is famous for agriculture,
is divided into 3 parts:
Swaledale
Wensleydale
Wharfedale

4. Swaledale

Swaledale, which called after the river Swale, was a
valuable centre of wool production. There are some
forests, small countries
and many other.

5. Wharfedale

There is a famous church, where the english writer
J. B. Priestley had a rest.
Around Wharfedale is green
and lush valley. Many
tourists walk here.

6. Wensleydale

Wensleydale is famous for cheese production.
There is rather flat terrain, so it is easy to travel here,
but there are mountains
and valley bottoms too.
