3. History of creation.

Benoit*s projects was executed by L.N. Benoit and O.
Ovsyannikov in 1910-1912. Construction began in 1914
and was completed in 1919.
Initially, the building was called the «Palace of arts».
There were exhibitions of artists. In 1917, the
exhibition «Community of Artists» - 45 years of
creativity L.Repin.
