The project on the theme of a typical British and a Russian family

2. A Typical British Family:

The typical British family is largely small, consisting of a father, mother and
two children. About twenty-five percent of children live in single-parent
marriages, with one mom or one dad due to a fairly high number of
divorces. Most British children live with their parents at least until they
finish school, that is, until they are 18, then many go to College. After
College, children prefer to arrange their own lives. Most British families
lead quite conservative and somewhat old-fashioned lifestyles. Their
apartments are spacious, comfortable. The English are picky in food and
prefer the usual traditional English cuisine.
The family lives on a constant routine. They
usually get up at seven in the morning, have
Breakfast at eight, and go to work and school
at eight-thirty. Children return from school at
four o'clock, parents come home from work at
six and then, at seven o'clock in the evening,
the usual family dinner follows.

3. A Typical Russian family:

In a typical Russian family, there are usually two
children-a boy and a girl. Grandparents also
participate in the lives of their children and
grandchildren, but they usually live separately.
In a modern family, both parents are mostly
employed. Lives a typical Russian family quite
decently, but modestly. Also in families there are
Pets.

4. Similarities of the British and Russian family:

• Families mainly consist of 4 people.
• The older generation lives separately from children
and grandchildren.
• It is customary to celebrate holidays.
• There are Pets.
• Common to family
education is the education
of a full fledged society.

5. Differences between the British and Russian family:

In British families, children and grandchildren "exile" their
relatives in a nursing home, live on a constant routine.
The family way, family life, traditions differ in many
respects from the Russian family.
