Introduction
It is a brave person who can claim to talk with assurance about the
future of anything, since the future is fundamentally unknowable, and to
talk about the information future in any of its aspects, given the speed of
change and the novelty of successive technological developments, is
even more foolhardy. Nor does the history of forecasting in the world of
books give any cause to be optimistic that we can be any more certain
today than in the past: the "death of the book" has been forecast on
numerous occasions, from the time of mass radio broadcasting, through
the introduction of television, to the rise of the computer and the
development of the Internet and the World Wide Web.

Publication history
Publication became possible with the invention of writing, and became
more practical with the introduction of printing.
Around 1045, Chinese inventor Bi Sheng made faience products of a
movable type, but there are no surviving examples of his work.
Early printed books, single sheets, and images created before 1501 in
Europe are known as incapacitated or incunabula.
The history of modern newspaper publications began in Germany in 1609,
after which magazines appeared in 1663.
Since its inception, the World Wide Web has contributed to the
technological convergence of commercial and self-published content, as
well as the convergence of publishing and production to online production
through the development of multimedia content.

Conclusion
Most of all I like paper books. Nothing can replace the smell of a fresh cover, the
rustle of new pages. This is an unforgettable feeling when you first pick up a book
from the shelf of a bookstore.
Of course, today you must read e-books. They are more convenient and practical,
but I believe that, for example, fiction should always be read on paper. Firstly, you
can always stop, think, leave notes or pencil drawings on the fields for the memory
of posterity :) And secondly, I am convinced that the charm of each particular
book can be felt until the end when you hold it in your hands, After all experience,
she becomes somehow closer, more familiar and more emotional. This is not just
an abstract book, it is part of your life.
But the electronic reader is very convenient for work and travel. It is lightweight
and unpretentious.
