• hour hand – the thick short hand on the clock
• minute hand – the thick long hand on the clock
(when it’s exactly one o’clock or two o’clock
the minute hand is always on the 12)
• o'clock – to tell the exact hour of the day
• colon : - separates the minutes from hours
(if its one o’clock it can be written 1:00; one
hour and zero minutes)
