This article analyzes the place of trade in the Russian economy, its dynamics of
development. Different approaches to the definition of trade are considered.
Calculations are made based on real statistical economic indicators.

Retail trade turnover of trading organizations
Having calculated the growth rates of retail trade turnover of trading organizations
for the period from 2017 to 2018 based on the data in Table 1.1, the growth rate is more
than 100%, namely 106.8%, therefore, the final value has increased in comparison with the
initial one, i.e. there is an increase in the indicator. This means that sales revenue has
increased over the previous year. The growth of this indicator can be clearly seen in the
picture.

Conclusion
Тrade in the Russian Federation is
developing dynamically, there is both
growth and decline in various economic
and statistical indicators, which is
associated with the socio-economic
development of the country.
Consequently, trade does not stand still.
Its development as the largest sector in
the service sector cannot fail to attract
attention.
