Actuality of the project. This topic has become interesting to us, because now mostly everything goes
through the Internet, as well as communication. Therefore, the English
language is being updated and changed more and more. And we would like to
learn more about how the English language is changing.
3.
Our main aim:Learn how social media is changing the
English language
4.
History of Englishslang.
Slang permeates all circles of society. It is born in a particular group of people,
but it is spread throughout the entire class of society. People who are not part
of this class sometimes use this slang, thus causing it to spread widely. Slang is
firmly established in the language and seems absolutely natural for each of the
groups of society that use it.
5.
Classification ofEnglish slang
Cockney
"A true Cockney is someone born within the so und of Bow Bells" (St Mary-le-Bow Church in
Cheapside, London).
Today, however, the term Cockney refers not only to those born in London, but also to anyone
who speaks with such an accent. Cockney is now less frequently heard in Central London, more
and more in its suburbs, as well as throughout South - East England. It is very popular in Bedford
and Essex counties. There is no reason to believe that Cockney was formed as a secret language.
The English, as well as any other people, like to rhyme. The proof of this is the set of double
words (reduplications) in the English language.

Classification ofEnglish slang
The slang of College students
The main reasons for the functioning of youth slang is that slang is a departure from the ordinary,
a game, irony, a mask. Easy youth slang seeks to get away from the boring world of adults,
parents, teachers. Therefore, a huge number of people, schoolchildren, students often use slang in
their speech.
7.
Classification ofEnglish slang
English internet
Today we communicate a lot via the Internet, and therefore one should not be surprised at the
appearance of a separate Internet dialect. This dialect is even simpler than the language of our
everyday communication with you, and it uses many abbreviations (abbreviations of words and
phrases).
English is constantly changing, although slowly. On the Internet, the process proceeds many times
faster - the language there changes every day, when more and more expressions, images or videos
become "viral"

How is social mediachanging the English
language?
The emergence of the internet and the consequential array of social media networks have, without
doubt, resulted in an exponential increase in new types of written language: blogs, tweets,
Facebook posts and LinkedIn profiles to mention just a few. But with English being the most
dominant language on the internet, how has social media changed the English language?
1. Troll, which is a term used to describe an internet user who seeks attention by making
outrageous or unreasonable comments about something or someone.
2. Stream(ing), which is the transmission of data as a steady continuous flow.
3. The "cloud" is now not only a cloud in the sky, but also a cloud data storage. And in this sense,
the word is found online much more often than in its original
4. Tablet, which is used to refer to portable screens.

ConclusionObviously, social media is a rich playground for experimenting, creating new words, and reusing
old ones; they also provide a platform for people who are not obsessed with grammatical rules and
syntax, giving them the freedom to defy the common Maxims of ordinary English and be
innovative, creative and forward-thinking. The language is and has always been constantly
evolving. While the changes and trends we see in the language over time are significant, the core
of the English language remains as strong and infallible as ever
