Mass grave of Soviet soldiers in
Anapa
Soviet wars are buried here, as well as civilians killed
during the occupation of the city by the Nazis. The
first memorial was opened in 1947, the current one in 1975.

The Russian Gate in Anapa
The Russian Gate in Anapa is a monument of the
Ottoman military architecture of the XVIII century, the
preserved gate of the Anapa fortress. A plate with the
inscription «Russian Gate 1854» is mounted at the top
of the gate. On the supporting wall there is another
plate: «The fortress gate Remains of the Turkish
fortress, built in 1783, named by the Russians in honor
of the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Anapa from
the Turkish yoke in 1828.»

Battery No. 394 of Captain A. E.
Zubkov
During the Second World War, Zubkov's battery
performed the main combat mission - the protection of
Tsemesskaya Bay from enemy ships.
In addition to the main combat mission, Battery No. 394
performed other tasks: it conducted live firing at ground
and coastal targets, destroying enemy military equipment
and manpower, provided fire support during the landing
of amphibious landings on Malaya Zemlya and in the
Novorossiysk port.

Memorial «Line of Defense» in
Novorossiysk
The memorial complex is dedicated to the events of
the summer and autumn of 1942, when Fascist troops
rushed to the Caucasus to pave the way to the oil rigs
of Baku and Grozny. On the line between the cement
plants "October" and "Proletarian" the Wehrmacht
army was stopped, so this place was chosen to create a
monument-ensemble.

Memorial complex «Death Valley»
During the Great Patriotic War, the Malaya Zemlya
bridgehead was located on the territory of the current "Valley
of Death". Its area was small – only 30 sq. km. In 1943, the
Fascist invaders, represented by German and Romanian
troops, attacked this section of the city for a long 7 months.
But our heroes - fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers defended the Little Earth and gave us life.
As a sign of memory, honor, gratitude, in 1974, under the
guidance of architect G. N. Najarian, the memorial complex
"Death Valley" was created and opened.
