Vibro-therapy as one of the physical methods of treatmentis used in the physical therapy very long time. Since the
start of the vibro-therapy use the influence of the vibrostimuli at the biological fluids, cells, organs and systems
of the organism were thoroughly investigated. The
parameters of their treatment action were elaborated,
methods of their application and methodological
approaches to the treatment procedures were
established. The indications to the vibro-therapy were
significantly enumerated and contraindications were
determined. Just recently devices, accumulating lowfrequency vibration and wideband acoustic fluctuations,
were included to the clinical practice. These apparatus
combine complex-modulated mechanical fluctuations
directed to the tissues of the patient. Amplitude of the
vibro-fluctuations is 1-100 mkm; frequency diapason is
20 Hz - 20 kHz, modulation frequency is from 0 to 19 Hz.
3.
• With the close contact of the vibro-acoustictransducer to the skin mechanical fluctuations
penetrate the tissues onto 10 cm and selectively
influence the biological structures. Muscle
vibration leads to the significant changes of the
blood flow, and muscle tone. Vibration of the
biologically active zones causes reflexive
reactions of the muscles and internal organs.
Because of this functional deviations and
conductivity of the nerves rise.
• Low frequency vibration (20-50 Hz) agitates
predominantly mechanical receptors of the skin,
vegetative nervous tracts, that leads to the
vessel enlargement, local blood flow and
lymphatic flow elevation, tissue trophy activation,
lowering of the muscular tone.
4.
• High frequency vibrations and acoustic fluctuations (100Hz -18 kHz) agitate specific muscular structures and
Pachchini particles, that causes relaxation predominantly
smooth muscles of the internal organs and vessels,
peripheral blockade of the pain stimulus, brain vascular
center activation, vascular tone increase, hypophysis
and hypothalamic activation and adaptive resources
mobilization (4).
• Vibro-acoustic therapy has wide spectrum of the
biophysical effects, main of which are listed below:
hemodynamics correction, nervous system
improvement, kidney function rise. Vibro-acoustic
therapy shows vasodilative tropho-stimulating effects
and can be used in the complex treatment of the arterial
hypertension (1).
• Our research was undertaken with the purpose to find
out the opportunities of the blood pressure (BP) control
in the hypertensive patients with using of vibro-acoustic
deviсe VITAFON.
5.
MATERIALS AND METHODS• Investigated group included 30 patients: 12 - with mild (1st
degree) and 18 – with moderate (2nd degree) arterial
hypertension (AH). BP control was performed by the
patients during 30 days of the vibro-acoustic therapy and
by the investigators after 30 days of the vibro-acoustic
treatment. The data of individual measurements (selfmeasurements) were analysed with the data of the test
control by a Korotkov’s method and with the results of 24our-BP-monitoring.
• The vibro-acoustic therapy was arranged with special
device VITAFON that radiate specific vibro-acoustic stimuli.
• The device VITAFON produced by Vitafon Ltd. (St.Petersburg) renders vibroacustical influence on an
organism. Active vibrating part of the device, which called
vibrophone provokes microvibration of tissues. Frequency
of microvibration automatically continuously vary in
accordance with the specific program. The medical effect
of the device is based on mutual intensifying influence of
microvibrations onto reflective zones of the body.
6.
• The vibro-acoustic therapy was arranged according to thespecial treatment scheme of every day procedures with an
increasing time and dosage manner. Probes of the VITAFON
apparatus were placed at the kidneys projection. All the
patients with mild AH were not treated with antihypertensive
medications. The effect of the vibro-acoustic therapy in the
patients with moderate degree hypertension was assessed
during the long period of stable dosages and schemes of
antihypertensive treatment as an additive influence to the
traditional therapy.
• For the patients with the different hypertension degree differed
approaches to the vibro-acoustic therapy were used.
• Procedures were performed in the morning and in the
evening. Doseges of the therapy were realized according the
duration of the vibro-acoustic influence.
• The effectiveness of the vibro-acoustic therapy was assessed
with blood pressure dynamics. For the explanation of the
hemodynamic changes microcirculation and tissue oxygen
tension were used. Dynamics of the complaints and subjective
state was also analyzed before and after therapy.
7.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION• Under the effects of the vibro-acoustic therapy general
health state (work capacity, mood) improved to the end
of the first week of the treatment.
• After the 30 days of the therapy patients with mild arterial
hypertension showed significant lowering of the systolic
(- 6±3 mm Hg, p>0,05) and diastolic (- 5±2 mm Hg,
p>0,05) blood pressure. Strong hypotensive effect
remained up to 2 months of the follow up. No one of the
investigated patients had blood pressure elevation
during study period.
• Data received point out that vibro-acoustic therapy has a
stabilizing and hypotensive effects in the patients with
the 1st degree of arterial hypertension.
• At the end of the vibro-acoustic therapy patients with 2nd
degree of AH showed significant decrease of the BP (7±2 mm Hg for systolic and - 8±3 mm Hg for diastolic,
p<0,05). No one of the investigated patients had blood
pressure elevation during study period.
8.
• Our data stress that vibro-acoustic therapyhas a stabilizing and hypotensive effects in
the patients with the 2nd degree of arterial
hypertension.
• Results of the microcirculation
investigation showed significant rise of the
local skin blood flow (up to the 10-16%
from the initial level, р<0,05). We suggest
that vibro-acoustic therapy could
modulate microcirculation and tissue
breathing under the influenced areas.
9. CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
Vibro-acoustic therapy diminishes and
stabilizes blood pressure in the patients with
1st and 2nd degree of arterial hypertension..
Vibro-acoustic therapy improves physical
performance, mood in the patients with mild
and moderate arterial hypertension.
No negative effects of the vibro-acoustic
therapy onto the disease course and the
patients’ organism were found.
Our data show an independent and additive
antihypertensive effects of the vibro-acoustic
therapy with VITAFON. We suggest that the
vibro-acoustic stimuli have an specific effects
at the kidneys and suprarenal glands in the
aspects of their BP regulation modification.
