On January 4, 1896, the
state of Utah became the
45th state. It is located in
the Rocky Mountains
and is part of the
Mountain
States.
It
borders
Wyoming,
Idaho, Arizona, Nevada,
and Colorado.

City

The population of the state is 2 817 222 people, it
ranks 34th in terms of population. The urban
population makes up 87% of the total population of
the state. Its area is 219 887 km² and ranks 13th
among other states.

Utah is considered the most religious state in the country. At
the moment, about 60% of the population are Mormons.
The original people of Utah were the Ute, Paiute, and Shoshone
Indians. The state is named after the first tribe.
