About the companyLevi's is an American clothing
company that produces denim
clothing, accessories and
shoes. This brand is known for
it's clothing's durability, liberal
prices and fashionability.

The Beginning of the BrandLevi's is created in it's founder's name Levi
Strauss, a german immigrant who started his
business in 1853 in San Francisco, California. In
1873 Levi Strauss & Co. and Jacob Devis receive a
U.S. patient for an "Improvement in fastening
pocket-openings".

Way to successIn the beginning of the XXth century Levi's
jeans were more of a commodity for
working people of the western United
States, such as cowboys, lumberjacks and
railroad workers. A boost in popularity
came in World War II when blue jeans were
declared an essential clothing and were sold
only to people engaged in defense work.

popular as a clothing
brand for all sorts of
people in mid '60, among
who were a big number of
youth subcultures,
including rockers and
hippies.

Current state of affairsIn 1982 the company
responded to the AIDS
crisis. In 2015 the

indigo dye to ensure that
their products are free of
hazardous chemicals.
