Millstone Ridge Design Ideas

This is the design style we are going for. We want it to be dark so it almost disappears but pricing will
determine the direction.
We are budget conscious so will consider alternatives as work through the build.

We will be using standard
white windows due to
budget and order timing
considerations.
However, from the outside
of the home, we want to
minimize the white.
Can that be accomplished
by using dark trim/flashing
around the windows?
We love how the wood is
incorporated into this
home and would like to do
this with the cottage

If we need to embrace the white,
this is a nice compromise, but we’d
still like to use less white.
We want to repurpose the wood in
the house. Here’s an idea for the
screened in porch

The house is small so lots of windows will be important to make the cottage feel lighter and more
spacious.
The front of the cottage will be this style….windows from floor to ceiling.
The entry to the home will be sliders so the screened in porch becomes an extension of the house when
sliders are open

While the cottage exterior will be dark, the interior will be very light. All wood and trim
will be a light color. I like the floor in the picture on the right as it has some varioation
but not too much.

I like the wood railings and post and the
silver wire because it sort of disappears

If possible, we’d like to add sliding privacy screens to the loft.

We’d like to incorporate a wood stove that’s smaller in scale.
