The history of the creation of radio. The chronology of discoveries that
contributed to the creation of radio begins in
1845, the English physicist and chemist
Michael Faraday discovered the
electromagnetic field, and this was one of
the most important discoveries of mankind in
the 19th century. 20 years after that, the
Englishman James Clark Maxwell deduced
the theory of the electromagnetic field and
calculated that the speed of electromagnetic
waves is equal to the speed of light. His
discoveries played a key role in the
development of physics and served as the
foundation of the special theory of relativity.
After another 20 years, Heinrich Hertz created a
generator and resonator of electromagnetic
oscillations and demonstrated the presence of
electromagnetic waves propagating in free
space. In fact, this device was the forerunner of
the radio, but Hertz's design transmitted and
received electromagnetic signals only at a
distance of several meters. In 1895, Alexander
Popov, as a result of all these discoveries,
invented the radio.
3.
The importance of radio communications for the worldThe main purpose of radio communications is to
ensure high-quality reception and transmission of
information over any distance under various
weather conditions.
Radio communication is widely used not only as an
on-air television or radio broadcast, but also for the
coordination of business objects, in the tourism,
scientific, industrial, transport sectors, as well as in
all military sectors without exception.
4.
Radio communication in everyday lifeAmateur radio is a kind of technical hobby. For this,
there are specially designated radio waves that are
designed for radio communications. Among amateurs
of radio communications, competitions are often held,
with appropriate awards. Also, radio amateurs are
engaged in the search and conduct of amateur radio
stations. In general, amateur radio is a separate
technical world. This hobby takes a lot of time, which
makes it entertaining for different generations.
5.
ConclusionToday it is difficult to imagine our world without radio communications. It has
penetrated deeply into our lives and has become indispensable in many areas of
science and human life.
