Introduction
I always love Iceland for its scenery. When you look
through photos there is a feeling like this wonderful
country is the another planet. My dream is to travel
around the country to the ice, and it is in the capital
of Iceland, Reykjavik.

фотографии возникает такое ощущение,
будто эта чудесная страна находится на
другой планете. Я мечтаю отправиться в
путешествие по стране льдов, а именно в
столицу Исландии- Рейкьявик.

A little history.
It is the northern capital of the European toy stores, the unique atmosphere and

Nature
Nature - is the main attraction of the city Reykjavik. Famous for the area along the banks of the
river Ellidaar, that is very rich in salmon. Tingvetllir national park, founded in the 20th century.
This area is dissected canyons, caves and fissures.

depth of the lake is about 115m.

geysers. A little further away is a beautiful
waterfall Gulfoss.

Attractions
Cathedral Reykjavik - Reykjavik's main church, where the Department of the bishop of the
Church of Iceland. Is the building is located in the center of the Icelandic capital. The church was
built in 1787.

Perlan is a building on a hill Oskyulid with an
observation deck, a winter garden and a
geyser inside .

The church is named after the poet and

The most interesting museum in Reykjavik is Gallery of Modern Art
Listasafn,opened in 2000 in a converted warehouse in the port area of
Reykjavik. The gallery 6 rooms on 2 floors and a lovely cafe with a panoramic
view of the city.

Листасафн , открытый в 2000 году в переделанном помещении склада в
порту Рейкьявика. В галерее 6 залов на 2 этажах и прекрасное кафе с

Church Skalholt
It is the first Christian cathedral in Iceland, a very important place of worship. After the
adoption of Christianity the country was divided into 12 dioceses and Skalholt was the center
of the most important districts. The castle Skalholt for centuries solved as the important
business center.

В ней расположен первый в Исландии христианский собор, очень важное культовое
место. После принятия христианства страна была поделена на 12 епископств, и Скалхолт

A little about the sport
In Iceland, you can practice skiing. There is a winter zone called Blafol. This resort is perfect
for both beginners as well as for family people. It built special ski schools, allowing the
children to learn skiing, as well as to practice and learn the secrets of a certain hard drive
skiing.
В Исландии можно заниматься и горнолыжным спортом. Здесь есть зимняя зона
под названием Блафьол. Курорт этот прекрасно подойдет как для новичков, так и
для семейных людей. Здесь построены специальные горнолыжные школы,
позволяющие обучиться горнолыжному спорту, а также хорошенько
потренироваться и обучиться определенным секретам нелегкой езды на горных
лыжах.

Interesting Facts
Reykjavik is the cleanest city in the world. In 2011, Reykjavik has been named by UNESCO the
city of literature. Reykjavik is a real beach. It is situated on the Atlantic coast, the water in it is
especially heated.
Рейкьявик считается самым чистым городом мира. В 2011 году Рейкьявик был назван
ЮНЕСКО городом литературы. В Рейкьявике есть настоящий пляж. Он расположен на
берегу Атлантического океана, воду в нём специально подогревают.

Actually, I think if a person has the opportunity to go somewhere to relax, I would advise to
visit the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. You should know about that rich capital of icy country.
Note the beauty of architecture and beautiful nature.

отдохнуть, то я бы непременно посоветовала посетить столицу Исландии- Рейкьявик.
Узнать, чем богата столица ледяной страны. Отметить для себя красоту
