Energy sourceAmbitious plans to phase out petroleum products are being talked about on every
corner. Norway plans to ban the sale of cars with petrol and diesel engines in 2025. Volvo,
Bentley and Ford have pledged to sell only electric cars in Europe from 2030.
By the same time, Volkswagen is going to produce more than 1 million electric cars
annually. A goal has also been set for performance - a range of up to 500 kilometers,
charging by 80% in 15 minutes or a quick battery change.
There are more exotic ways to solve environmental problems. Japan is actively testing
hydrogen-powered cars, Germany is producing biodiesel from rapeseed oil, and Brazil is
converting cars to ethanol, which is obtained from sugar cane.

In three dimensionsTraffic jams have become so serious that every resident of a big city dreams of flying
transport. Prototypes already exist - single-seat taxis, similar to huge quadrocopters, are
already being tested in China and Japan.
Experts suggest that the flying cars of the future will appear no earlier than 2040. Surely, they
will already be deprived of manual control. Initially, such cars will become an expensive
analogue of taxis, and the road to the mass market will be open to them only in 2050-2070.

Artificial intelligence andaugmented reality

But this is the matter of the near future. Apple promises to introduce an electric car in 2022-2025. Insiders
claim that it will also have the voice assistant Siri, known to us from the iPhone. And this means that the
machine will be able to understand your verbal commands. It will be possible to plot a route, darken the
windows, choose the appropriate microclimate and set the speed without unnecessary movements.
Another area of development in which
results are already visible is augmented
reality. The camera monitors traffic
conditions, and the projector superimposes
the image on the windshield. Artificial
intelligence highlights potential sources of
danger. Augmented reality also shows the
direction of the turn, reminds you to change
lanes before the roundabout, and provides
other useful tips.

House on wheelsAs technology advances, the cars of the future will become more and more comfortable.
The transition to autopilot will allow you to abandon the steering wheel, dashboard, mirrors
and part of the glass. Instead of seats, comfortable sofas and poufs will appear inside, and
the front seats will turn 180 °. Even affordable models will have panoramic roofs and monitors
to monitor the outside world.
A personal or rented car will become an
alternative to capsule hotels, which are
available in many airports around the
world. During the trip, it will be possible
to spend the night in comfort and clean
up before going out. Who knows,
maybe by 2073 we'll be sleeping,
showering and brushing our teeth on the
way to work?
