symphonies, piano concertos,
operas and choral works. He was

The composer's second wind
opened with the release of the
Second Piano Concerto in 1901.
Rachmaninov's work has become
mature, and the genre of the
concert is leading. During this
period, Sergei Rachmaninoff
produced such works as: the
poem "Island of the Dead"; the
poem "Bells"; sonata No. 2 for
piano.

Death
Rachmaninov smoked a lot, at a
respectable age he was diagnosed with
cancer. The composer's grandson
Alexander linked health problems with
his grandfather's bad habit. The
composer died on March 28, 1943. Six
weeks before his death, the maestro's
last concert took place. Rachmaninov's
grave is located at Kensico Cemetery,
near New York.
