MELLITUS
• Diabetes mellitus is a disease of the
endocrine system, which is
characterized by an insufficient level of
the pancreatic hormone - insulin in the
body.

Types:
Type 1-insulin-dependent* diabetes mellitus.
Type 2-insulin-independent* diabetes mellitus.

• Genetic factors
• Diseases of the pancreas

• constant feeling of hunger
• weakness, fatigue, poor health*

• the smell of acetone* in the exhaled air
