appearance
The museum was opened by Marie Tussauds in 1835. It is located in London, but in
total has more than 20 branches in Asia, Europe, Australia, America and the Middle
East. Marie Tussaud (whose maiden name was Grosholtz) received her first knowledge
of wax modeling from Philip Curtius. Maria's mother worked as his housekeeper.
