4. EBT Principles – Pilot Self Analysis
5.
Objectives1.
Assess Crew performance, including CRM, in a Line Oriented setting.
2.
Check each pilot’s Proficiency (Mandatory items)
3.
Check pilot’s Knowledge and ability to perform LVO
4.
Conduct checking for Right Hand Seat (RHS) and/or Relief Pilot (RP)
Qualification, as applicable (RHS for Captains / Instructors / Examiners, RP
for senior FOs).
5.
Revalidate Type and Instrument (including PBN) Ratings
Maintain and Develop pilot’s Skills!
6. PC Standards
We are looking for:Disciplined application of Normal Procedures and use
of Standard Callouts
Competent handling of Abnormal / Emergency
situation
Effective utilization of all available resources i.e. CRM
Efficient use of operational documentation and EFB
You must demonstrate the ability to:
Exercise good Judgment and Airmanship
Operate the airplane within its Limitations
Maintain Control of the airplane at all times
Apply Crew Coordination and Communicate
effectively.
7. Common Errors
Insufficient Assessment and Planning
Inappropriate Decisions
Use of back up or alternate systems not considered
Ineffective Communication
Lack of Structure and Inappropriate Prioritization
Asking the examiner if something is correct!
8. PC Content
Line Oriented Evaluation (LOE)Mandatory Items:
RTO, EFATO, OEI LDG (manual), OEI GA (manual), NPA
Low Visibility Operations (LVO):
LVTO (RVR 125m), CAT III Fail-Operational (RVR 75m), ...
Right Hand Seat (RHS) and/or Relief Pilot (RP)
if applicable
Abnormal:
Fuel
Electrical
Pneumatic
Air Conditioning/Pressurization
Ice and Rain Protection
9.
RolesPilot Flying (PF) takes the lead
Pilot Monitoring (PM) has an active role!
The Commander is Managing the Flight!
