Introduction to the Nove
Yann Martel's novel Life of Pi is based on the idea
of faith, survival, and dual reality. This book is
written from the main character. The boy named Pi,
sailing in a boat with a tiger, is an allegory about
the search for the meaning of life and humanity,
and the second, darker version of events (with
animal people) shows how Hinduism, Christianity,
and Islam help a person survive trauma and find
God. The story follows Pi Patel, an curious
teenager from India who loves animals and
religion. When his family moves to Canada, their
ship sinks in the Pacific Ocean.Pi finds himself on
a lifeboat, but he's not alone. He must survive with
the help of a Belgian tiger aboard the lifeboat,
which drifts for seven months in the Pacific Ocean.
Gradually, a special relationship develops between
them; they share territory and food, but it can't be
called friendship or affection. Pi lives in constant
fear of being eaten by his neighbor. This novel
reveals an incredible story in which the protagonist
survives physically and emotionally during his
journey.

Conclusion
Pi proved that the search for
faith is a path that is not tied to
any one religion.
Pi learns to survive, to
overcome fear, hunger, and
loneliness, while maintaining
his humanity and not turning
into a predator.
The connection between man
and nature, who are forced to
coexist and find a common
language, is shown.
