Imagine that you and your friend are doing a project “Volunteering”. You
have found some photos to illustrate it but for some technical reasons you
cannot send them now. Leave a voice message to your friend explaining
your choice of the photos and sharing some ideas about the project. In 2.5
minutes be ready to:
Explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly
describing them and noting the differences;
Mention the advantages (1-2) of the two ways of volunteering;
Mention the disadvantages (1-2) of the two ways of volunteering;
Express your opinion on the subject of the project – which of these
ways of volunteering presented in the pictures you’d prefer and why.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12-15 sentences).
You have to talk continuously.

Hi, Sofia! How is it going? I have found two great photos
for our project on Volunteering and I want to tell you
about them. I think they might be useful and I’d like to
discuss them with you.
Well, I guess these shots are perfect for our project as
they show two different types of volunteering. Actually, in
one picture four volunteers are picking up litter near
some river. In the other picture, a volunteering woman is
petting a dog in a shelter. The main difference between
the shots is that one type of volunteering is aimed at
helping the environment, while the other type of
volunteering is aimed at helping animals.
Anyway, I think both types of volunteering have their
advantages and disadvantages. For example, picking up
litter makes the world cleaner, but it also makes one very
tired because volunteers have to walk a lot to do it. As for
taking care of animals in shelters, it can help them find
owners. However, animals in shelters can bite volunteers.
