Kazan is one of the
oldest and most
beautiful cities in
Russia. It is a thousandyear- old city with rich
and unique history.

4. The best place to begin our exploration of Kazan is at the Kremlin. The Kremlin is unique because it discovers the history, the

interchange of values between several cultures. It is the only
surviving Tatar fortress. In 2000 the Kazan Kremlin became a
monument of UNESCO World Heritage. It is the residence of the
President of Tatarstan.

Annunciation Cathedral
and the Suymbike
Tower. The Kremlin was
developed under the
influence of 2 religiousChristianity and Islam.
The Suymbike Tower is
very dear to our city. It
became the architectual
symbol of Kazan.

see the main mosque
of Tatastan- Kul
Sharif Mosque. It
was named in honor
of its last imam and
one of the defenders
of Kazan- Seid KulSharif.

In front of you is the
highest church of
Kazan-Peter and Paul
Cathedral.
