The history of American cartoons started in 1914. Earlier, in 1906,
James Stuart Blackton had made some experiments drawing
moving pictures. But he couldn’t create a full cartoon character
with it’s own feelings and emotions…

Only Winsor Mccay
could do that. In 1914
cinemas showed his
film “Gertie the
Dinosaur”. It was a
comedy about two
friends who made a
bet. One of them
(Mccay played him)
was sure that it’s
possible to make
brontosaurus alive. So
he drew a cartoon
about this animal and
won his bet. This
“cartoon in a film” was
a first American
cartoon with a unique
character

Felix the cat was the first famous character of the American
multiplication. It was a black-white cat with human’s arms and
legs. First he was showed in the mute “Feline Follies” cartoon.

Felix was a hero of a lot of strange, surrealistic and funny situation. In all of

good luck and ability to make a good plan in a short time. Some people called

Dwarfs». Before that world saw full-length cartoon, but in these films was
absence of sound and color picture. All of us know famous story about Snow
White, which was work of Brothers Grimm. When Disney was a child, he was
seen short silent cartoon about Snow White. This film was inspired young
genius.

Beavis and Butt-Head is an American adult animated sitcom. The show centers on two socially
incompetent teenage delinquents, Beavis and Butt-Head (both voiced by Judge), who go to
school at Highland High in Highland, Texas. They have no apparent adult supervision at home,
are dim-witted, under-educated and barely literate. Both lack any empathy or moral scruples,
even regarding each other. They will usually deem things they encounter as "cool" if they are
associated with heavy metal, violence, sex, destruction or the macabre

full of feelings. On the other hand, today we can see a trend to make money
from multiplication. The most popular “Pixar” cartoons are made by one
scheme (lonely hero is meeting real friends). Other popular cartoons as
Simpsons or South Park are very cynic, violent and sarcastic: they are playing
on a market of adults. The golden era of Disney was a time of the most kind,
emotionally hard and deep cartoons. This trend was continuing some time
after Disney’s death, but later cartoons became more typical and humoristic
because of asking of market
