Teen Wolf is a youth mystery-drama series
produced in the United States based on
the 1985 film of the same name,
commissioned by MTV.

3. Plot

The series tells the story of a young
outcast named Scott McCall, who one
night finds himself in the woods in search
of a dead body. There, he is attacked by a
mysterious beast that resembles a huge
wolf. The creature bites him, and soon
Scott begins to realize that something
inside him is changing a lot-now every full
moon, he turns into a werewolf!

9. History of creation

In June 2009, MTV announced that it was going to shoot
a new version of the classic 1985 youth Comedy with
Michael J. Fox — according to them, the project will be
more serious, it will expand the mythology of the
werewolf universe, and will also be a genre mix of
drama, romantic Comedy and horror film.
This is the second TV adaptation of the film after the
animated series of the same name created by CBS and
aired from 1986 to 1987.
Australian Director Russell Malkai took a pilot version of
the series.
Filming for the first 12 episodes of the show began in
October 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia.
