HISTORY OF ADOPTION
• On September 1, 1920,
• The day of the Declaration of the State of
Greater Lebanon,
• the Grand Serial witnessed the launch of the
first Lebanese National Anthem, which was
adopted as the official anthem of Lebanon until
February 1927, when the new and current one
was launched.

• The Lebanese National Anthem was
written by Rašid Nakhla and composed by
Wadih Sabra. It was adopted on 12 July
1927, seven years after the proclamation
of the state of Greater Lebanon during
the French mandate.
