Location
This lovely two-storied splendid period property is located in a quiet and
isolated area in a countryside, by the sea shore.
It is a long way from any city and its hustle and bustle. However, it is about
5 minutes to the nearest town with different shops. There is also a car rent
which is not really necessary because the house is near public transport
station.
Seeing this house for the first time, some people would think it is
dangerous to live so close to the sea because its waves could easily reach
the house during terrible storms. However, there are no such storms there.
Moreover, it is not just a safe place for living, it is a beautiful place to be at
any time of the year. This house is sunny, exotic and has a lovely view of
the sea which many people would dream of.

Exterior
Seeing it from the outside, you can easily spot a chimney, a patio, lots of tiny windows,
stone walls and a tiled roof. There is a green lawn in front of the cottage and in the back
of the house there is a vast orchard and a tiny garden, where one can relax after work
by taking care of colourful flowers and keeping things in order.

Garage
It is separated from the main yard and situated by the road with its
own driveway. It is quite cramped but well-planned and economical
which allows to contain there at least a car and a bicycle. It may
also serve as a workshop or as a shed for storing different tools.

Interior
Upstairs, there are two cozy bedrooms, a large living room, a fully-fitted kitchen, a
bathroom, and downstairs nursery, dining room, and utility room. Spacious painted
rooms with high ceilings make up this stylish old-fashioned house. It is ideally
suitable accomodation either to a large family with kids or a small family with big
needs. Also, if you became short of space there is always an option to build an
extension and turn it into a granny flat for extra room in case if someone wants his
own single room which he don’t have to share. However, I wouldn’t do it because
the extension wouldn’t match the style of the house and would spoil its look.
Of course, all the basic necessities are included: central heating, electricity, running
water, gas and so on. Besides, there is access to the internet via Wi-Fi, several airconditioners and other modern conveniences.

As you come in through the front door, you find yourself in the pretty modern hallway.
The wide staircase takes you to the first floor where master bedroom and guest
bedroom are situated. The long tiny corridor leads you onto the dining room which
french windows look out onto the garden. There is a cozy rag, a dark, wood table and
with clean mirror and expensive lamp on the ceiling.

This is the living room. As you see it has an open-fireplace, comfortable white leathersofa
and leather armchairs, a video, a tv-set, a book-case, a table, set of old-fashioned lamps.
Both windows overlook the sea. There are no curtains because the room faces the north
so it’s not sunny. This is a good-sized room but it is fully-furnitured and there is little
space left.

Kitchen
The kitchen is an oak-panelled room equipped with lots of appliances such as a gas-stove, a
washing machine, a dishwasher, a refrigerator. The floor is tiled. The room was completely
refurbished recently. Before that, it was draughty and messy, even dilapidated. Now it is
brand-new with all modern furniture you would expect from an ordinary kitchen.

Minor disadvantages
A house this size would probably be difficult to look after. A family must keep
house rules to keep things in order in this house. If I lived there, I would hire
a cleaning lady to do jobs around the house. Otherwise, it would take much
time to tidy up. Another disadvantage is the price. Of course it’s not cheap.
Probably, this house costs a lot because there is a shortage of affordable
housing in that area of England. The owner either has a mortgage on the
house or simply a wealthy person and payed in advance. Also, the fuel-bills
are probably very high and it probably takes a lot of time to warm this
house. Besides, this house would not be suitable for people that suffer from
hay fever because of its garden and orchard. Also, there is no study room.
And I think that’s all.

In conclusion:
It is truly a dream-house. Not a mansion with swimming
pools, tennis-courts and golf-lawns, not a noisy skyscrapper
located in a cosmopolitan city, not a castle with a bridge and
a moat, but the cozy and quiet family house. If I somehow
got its front door key and moved in, I would throw a biggest
house-warming party and invite everyone I know. However,
in reality, I live in a cramped small studio-flat at the
university dormitory in Volgograd. At least, I already feel at
home here.
