"WANG XIZHI GIVES A GIFT TO HIS DAUGHTER"
According to the legend “Wang Xizhi gives a gift to
his daughter”, when the daughter of the famous
calligrapher Wang Xizhi got married, he gave her
his work. The mother-in-law thought that Wang
Xizhi would give her daughter a lot of money, she
did not expect that the calligrapher would send
only hieroglyphs on paper instead. In a fit of anger,
she tore up his work, but later it turned out that a
large amount could be earned for his work, and
she greatly regretted what she had done.

"LI BO AND THE
MOZHEN RIVER"
The legend "Li Bo and the Mozhen River"
tells that the famous poet Li Bo did not
like to study as a child. When the
goddess Guanyin found out about this,
she turned into an old woman, sat down
on the bank of a mountain stream and
began to sharpen a large iron stick.
Seeing her, Li Bo was very surprised,
because he did not understand why she
was doing this. The old woman
answered: “I want to make a needle out
of this stick. If I sharpen every day,
sooner or later the stick will become a
needle.” Li Bo was greatly inspired by her
words and has been studying very
diligently ever since.
