The tale tells the story of the Little Prince who visits various planets in
space, including Earth. The book addresses the themes of
loneliness, friendship, love and loss. Despite the style of a children's
book, its hero talks about life and human nature.

The pilot makes an emergency landing in the
Sahara Desert and meets one extraordinary and
mysterious boy - the Little Prince from another
planet - asteroid B-612. The little prince talks about
his adventures on Earth, talks about the amazing
rose that he left on his small planet, about his life on
an asteroid, where there are three volcanoes: two
active and one extinct

The main character is a little boy who lives all alone
on the planet. He spends time tidying up his planet,
weeding out baobabs, which all strive to take deep
roots and fill everything around.
The little prince loves to watch sunsets, which on his
small planet can be seen several dozen times a day
(according to the earthly account). Feeling unhappy,
the little prince flies off to explore and discover other
places in the universe.

Having visited several other asteroids, he meets many strange
adults: a king, an ambitious, a drunkard, a business man, a
lamplighter, and a geographer. On the advice of the
geographer, the Little Prince visits Earth, where, in addition to the
pilot who crashed the plane, he meets other characters and,
communicating with them, learns many important things.

The drawings in the book are made by the author
himself and are no less famous than the book itself.
This is not only illustrations, but also an organic part
of the work: the heroes of the tale themselves refer
to the drawings and argue about them. Unique
illustrations in The Little Prince break down
language barriers and become part of a universal
visual lexicon that everyone can understand.
