Education System of Ukraine
The system of education in ukraine is considered to be one of
the best in the world.

Preschool education is not compulsory and you have to
pay fees for it.Most parents take their children to
nursery school or kindergartens at the age of 3 or to
private schools even at the age of 1 and a half, where
children eat, sleep and play up to the age of 4 or 5 and
then they are taught arithmetic, reading, writing, and
foreign languages. In some schools they are taught
earlier.

Compulsory secondary education begins at the age of
6 and is free in state schools and fee-paying in private
ones. Children start learning foreing languages from
the 2nd form and in specialized languages from the 1st
form but in Kyiv children start learning foreign
languages from the 1st form in all schools.

There are different types of shools in Ukraine:
gymnasiums, lyceums, colleges, specialized language
shools, secondary schools,schools with technical,
mathematical, computer, law , sport arts, and
pedagogical slant.There are also private gymnasiums,
colleges, lyceums and international schools.

In secondary schools there are obligatory subjects and
optional courses, pupils of senior forms can take in
addition to the required subjects.

After the 9th form the pupils can enter vocational
(training) schools. After getting secondary education
pupils can enter technical schools and colleges of the
1st and 2nd Level of Accreditation that train young
specialists in different trades or higher educational
establishments: universities, institutes, academies or
conservatoires.

Освіта в Україні
Система освіти в Україні вважається одним з
кращих в світі.

Дошкільна освіта не є обов'язковою і ви повинні
платити за це.Більшість батьків віддають дітей в
ясла або дитячі садки у віці 3 або приватних
школах, навіть у віці 1 і половини, де діти їдять,
сплять і грають у віці до 4 або 5, а потім їх навчають
арифметики, читання, письма та іноземним мовам.
В деяких школах вони навчалися раніше.

Обов'язкова середня освіта починається у віці 6
років і є безкоштовним в державних школах, так і з
оплатою в приватних. Діти починають вивчення
іноземних мов з 2-ї класі, так і в спеціалізованих мов
з 1 класу, але в Києві діти починають вивчати
іноземні мови з 1 класу у всіх школах.

Існують різні типи шкіл в Україні: гімназій, ліцеїв,
колегіумів, спеціалізованих мовних шкіл, середніх
шкіл,шкіл з технічної, математичної,
комп'ютерної, права , спорту, мистецтва і
педагогічним ухилом.Є також приватних гімназій,
коледжів, ліцеїв та міжнародних шкіл.

У загальноосвітніх школах немає обов'язкових
дисциплін і курсів за вибором, учні старших класів
можуть прийняти на додаток до обов'язкових
предметів.

Після 9-го класу учні можуть ввести професійне
(навчання) шкіл. Після отримання середньої освіти
учні можуть ввести технікумів і коледжів 1 і 2 рівня
акредитації, які готують молодих спеціалістів різних
професій або вищих навчальних закладів:
університетів, інститутів, академій, консерваторій.
