When deciding which
profession to choose, I
decided on a specialty of
“Power engineering”. I realized
that this profession suits me.

The specialty of “Power
engineering”
Energy engineers are specialists in the development, manufacture and
operation of heating and energy supply systems. The duties of an electrical
engineer include applying the latest methods and techniques to design,
construct, commission, operate and maintain electrical and
electromechanical equipment. He is able to use the latest information
technology, computer modeling and energy design. The scope of its
production activities includes premises and direct supply facilities for power
generation, transportation and distribution companies.

-energy supply of residential and industrial facilities;
- energy systems design;
- maintenance and operation of TPPs, HPPs and NPPs;
- installation and maintenance of the system of power transmission lines;
- scientific research activity.
- provision of a system of storage and transportation of raw materials;

Professional skills and
knowledges
- Understand regulatory materials and standards for energy facility operations
- Possession of technical characteristics, features, modes of operation and rules for the
technical operation of electrical equipment
- Master the method of installation and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Ability to create and read drawings, and to work in special programs such as AutoCad
- Knowledge of organizing and performing repairs.

Lviv National Polytechnic University
One of the institutions of
higher education where I
can get a diploma in the
field of "Energy" is the
National Polytechnic
University "Lviv Polytechnic".
The university is located in the
city of Lviv. This is the oldest
technical university of
Ukraine. Highly educated
teachers work here who
know their subject well and
can explain it very well.

Conclusions
-My future specialty “Power engineering”.
- An energy engineer is a specialist who develops, manufactures
and operates heat and energy supply systems.
- A professional in this specialty must learn a lot of information,
possess skills that will help me in his professional activities, and
have a higher education in one of the institutions of Ukraine.
