Cherepovets is the largest city in the Vologda region.It is rare when a city that is not the capital of a
region is bigger than it.
Cherepovets is considered to be the industrial center
of Russia.
Favorable geographical position made it an
important port for the five seas due to the VolgaBaltic channel.
