The NeoChord
The NeoChord procedure is performed through a
small incision between the ribs to access the mitral
valve without the need to temporarily stop the
heart. Using echo-guidance, damaged or ruptured
mitral valve chords are restored on the leaking
segment of the mitral valve leaflet while the heart is
beating.

The Convergent Hybrid Procedure
The epicardial ablation is performed first and involves an
entirely soft tissue endoscopic approach to the
pericardium with port access through a one-inch upper
abdominal incision and two instrument ports,
The convergent procedure is performed by both the
cardiologist (for endocardial ablation) and cardiothoracic
surgeon (for epicardial ablation). It is minimally invasive,
and is most efficiently conducted as a single procedure in
the cath lab. The technique is designed to mutually
facilitate pulmonary vein isolation and to enhance and
expand posterior left atrial wall ablation.

Adult soft tissue sarcoma is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the
soft tissues of the body.
The soft tissues of the body include the muscles, tendons (bands of fiberthat connect
muscles to bones), fat, blood vessels, lymph vessels, nerves, and tissues around joints.
Adult soft tissue sarcomas can form almost anywhere in the body, but are most
common in the head, neck, arms, legs, trunk, abdomen, and retroperitoneum.
