3. Measurement Performance

• High-Precision Low-Resistance Measurement: Delivers a basic accuracy of 0.25% with 6
ranges and a best resolution of 1µΩ. This gives dependable readings for critical lowresistance checks in electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Four-Terminal Kelvin Measurement: Kelvin clips remove test-lead and contact
resistance from the reading. The result is a true value, even at micro-ohm and milliohm levels.
• High Test Current for Stable Readings: Model 7002 supplies up to 5A (120mΩ) and
Model 7272 supplies up to 10A (60mΩ). Higher current gives stable, repeatable results
on joints, busbars, and contacts.

4. Usability and Data Management

• Handles Resistive and Inductive Loads: Measures both resistive and inductive
materials, with manual or auto range selection. One instrument can test
everything from simple joints to windings, saving time in the field.
• Smart Testing Aids and Alarms: It has programmable HI, LO, and PASS settings, a
HI-LO alarm, and an LED for invalid measurements. Operators get instant pass/fail
decisions and fewer testing errors.
• Data Logging and PC Connectivity: Stores 3000 measurements and includes a
calendar clock. The supplied user interface software connects to a PC through an
RS232C-to-USB bridge cable for reporting and traceability.
