Vacuum pump and water saving systemThe powerful and low-noise two-stage vacuum
pump provides fast air-removal from the chamber,
thus reducing the cycle times.
A special water saving system helps reducing the
water consumption.
The vacuum pump normally runs in a cost-effective
circulation operation and fresh water is tapped only
if necessary.

Connection to building side cooling circuit (option)Cooling circuit for vacuum pump: You can save even more cold
water by connecting both the cooling for the heat exchanger and
the condenser cooling for the vacuum device (which is active
during the sterilization of solid and porous materials) to an onsite cooling circuit. This will allow you to use up to 95 % less cold
water.
Take advantage of potential savings:
Sustainability: Reduce cold water usage by up to
95 % by connecting to an on-site cooling circuit.

RKI EquipmentPreliminary comment
On use of the equipment and methods listed in the following, their microbiological spectrum of action
must be taken into consideration. The fields of action are identified with letters with the following
meaning:
51
DES
A: for killing vegetative bacteria including mycobacteria plus
fungi including fungal spores
B: suitable for inactivating viruses
C: suitable for killing anthrax pathogen spores
STE
D: Suitable for killing gas oedema and tetanus pathogen
spores; (sterilization methods giving consideration to the relevant standards
must be applied to kill these spores).

RKI Equipment1.3 Steam disinfection method
The waste water and exhaust air incurred during this method must be treated so that they cannot pose any
risks. The requirements as per DIN 58 949 Part 2 must be observed. The disinfection systems
must be loaded and operated according to the operating instructions; they must be regularly
maintained and tested for functional capability (reference is made to DIN 58 949 Part 3).
1.3.1 Steam flow method
Disinfection in apparatuses with saturated water vapour at a temperature of at least 100°C
Exposure time:
■ At least 5 min. (field of action: AB)
■ At least 15 min. (field of action: ABC)

55. Vacudes® PL
RKI Equipment3.4.3.1 Steam flow method in apparatus as per
DIN 58949 or DIN EN 285
These methods are only suitable for liquid waste or waste containing sufficient water, e.g.
microbiological cultures. The waste must be transported into the chamber in containers with a wide
opening without further packaging so that steam access to all parts of the waste is guaranteed.
The exposure time is calculated from the point in time at which all parts of the waste are exposed to
saturated water vapour and have reached the disinfection temperature.
Steamers or steam disinfection devices as per DIN 58949 Part 2 or steam sterilizers as per DIN EN
285 are suitable. The notes provided in number 1.3 must be observed.

RKI Equipment3.4.3.3.9 MMM system
The conditions imposed on registration by the Robert Koch Institute, particularly
as regards the type of waste and its packaging – packaging types 1 and 2 – must be observed. With
packaging type 2, the chamber is evacuated to ≤800 mbar prior to actual air removal. The
containers are then pre-treated with steam at 103°C with an exposure time of at least one minute.

RUMED360® – Software applications for RUMEDSoftware applications that make your everyday work in the RUMED
easier and safer. Digitalization has established itself as an integral and
indispensable part of healthcare and hospital facilities for some time
now. In the modern working environment of a RUMED, process
monitoring and digital documentation are important and essential
components of an almost paperless working life. The resultant process
and workflow optimization brings with it greater profitability, efficiency
and safety.
The RUMED360® software applications developed by MMM combine all
these attributes and make a significant contribution towards ensuring a
user-optimized and efficient implementation of the work processes in a
RUMED.
The Energy Management application, for example, helps keep the
investment costs for the central energy supply at a minimum while still
optimally covering the peak loads and ensuring high productivity
